What is a Bump Banquet?

The Bump Banquet is an in-home postpartum preparation experience that can be enjoyed as its own gathering or incorporated into a traditional baby shower.

What happens at a Bump Banquet?

Postpartum Preparation
Your village will prepare freezer-friendly meals designed to support recovery, making the postpartum period easier and nourished.

 

Everything is planned and set up in advance, with easy-to-follow recipe cards so your Chef Guests can move through the experience with confidence.

Your group will:

  • Cook and assemble nourishing postpartum meals

  • Portion, label, and organise freezer storage

  • Learn simple batch-prep strategies

  • Share food, laughter, and connection while preparing for baby

Everything is set up in advance to make the exerpeince simple and easy to follow!


Postpartum Preparation Stations
While your meals are being prepared, your Bump Banquet can also include practical preparation stations tailored to what you need most before baby arrives.

This may include:

  • Nursery or baby station organisation

  • Folding and organising baby clothes

  • Stocking nappies and change stations

  • Preparing postpartum or feeding supplies

  • Folding washing or changing fresh linen

  • Light home organisation

  • Other practical tasks from your own postpartum wish list

Because each event is tailored, including meal selection, guest numbers, ingredient costs, level of support and chosen inclusions, we provide a personalised quote for every booking.

  • Personalised pre-event consultation in your home

  • Personalised digital Bump Banquet invitation, ready to share with your guests

  • Planning of your postpartum preparation activites

  • Customised meal planning and selection of 3-4 meals
